Our Story

Christ Community Church (CCC) Camden was born with one simple purpose — to help people connect with God.  

 

Several years ago, God placed an amazing burden on the hearts of the leadership of Christ Community Church in Sumter - to share the life-giving love of Jesus with as many people as possible.  Through much prayer, we felt one effective way to accomplish this was through a church plant in the Camden area. 

 

CCC Camden began with a core group of about ten families committed to the unifying goal of sharing the love of Christ with people in the Camden community.  The core team began to pray over what God might do in the Camden community.  After several months, CCC Camden’s office officially opened its doors on August 1, 2023. Our core team quickly began meeting on Sunday mornings in the new office for a time of prayer, fellowship, and worship. We also have weekly small group studies where we enjoy dinner, fellowship, and getting deeper into the Word of God.

 

Our first “live” service was held September 17, 2023 at the Church office at 306 Hampton Park in Camden, were we quickly outgrow our space. We now meet at the Camden Elementary School at 416 Laurens St in Camden. We believe this is just the beginning of following what God wants for us.
