What is Baptism?
We believe baptism is an incredibly important step in every believer’s relationship with Jesus Christ. Baptism is about publicly declaring your personal commitment to Jesus as your Lord and Savior! It signifies a changed life in Jesus and shows the believer is part of a new family.
At CCC Camden we love baptisms!! And we believe this is an incredibly important next step in your faith journey. We offer multiple opportunities throughout the year for our church to celebrate baptisms together.
Why Should I get Baptized?
There are three reasons we believe you should consider baptism as your next step in your faith journey.
- To follow Christ′s example. As Christ followers, we are called to imitate Christ. By being baptized himself, he have us the model to follow (Mark 1:9)
- To follow Christ′s command. Jesus specifically instructed His followers to be baptized (Matthew 28:19).
- To publicly identify your new life with Jesus. Baptism is about publicly identifying with Jesus. It signifies the death of our former way of life and depicts the new life and hope we have in Jesus (Romans 6:4).
