Our Team

Michael Thomas
CCC Camden Campus Pastor

Michael and his family moved to Camden in June of 2018 when the Army stationed them at Shaw AFB. During this time, Michael completed his Master of Theology from Liberty University. After retiring from 23 years of service in the Army, Michael joined the CCC staff in May of 2022. He and his wife, Jill have been married since 1997. Michael and Jill have two adult children, Ben & Hannah Grace, who both serve in the U.S. Coast Guard. On his days off, you’ll find him spending time outdoors, working on his endless list of “home” projects, or sneaking away for a quick round of golf. You can also spot him having breakfast with friends at Haile Street Grille.

Michael’s love for the Camden community is evident, and he is very passionate about sharing the life-changing love of Jesus with people in the surrounding community.

Spenser Pearson
CCC Camden Worship Pastor

Originally from Florida, Spenser moved to Sumter shortly after he and his wife, Melinda, first got engaged. Spenser began serving on the Worship Team at CCC Sumter. They have two amazing children, Jemma and Zeth. Spenser and Mel have been faithful supporters of CCC Camden since the beginning. Spenser volunteered to serve on our very first worship team in September of 2023, and he officially joined our staff at CCC Camden in April 2025. Mel can often times be found volunteering with our children’s ministry. On his days off, you’ll likely find him spending time with his family at home, grabbing a quick round of golf with friends, or enjoying a great meal at Salud with his beautiful bride.

By far, Spenser’s favorite thing about Camden is the people. He loves spending time with everyone and learning about the different backgrounds and lives of the community of believers here.

Daniel and Eveline Wedgeworth
CCC Camden Student Leaders

Daniel and Evey grew up in Arkansas. They were married in 2014, shortly after Daniel joined the Air Force. The military has taken them all over the world, but they eventually landed at Shaw AFB, where they found CCC Sumter. They have a six year old daugther, Ember, who is the light of their lives. Always up for an adventure, they joined the CCC Camden Core Team when it launched in 2023. They loved it so much, they eventually moved to Camden in 2025. Since then, they have continued to expand their little “farm” with 4 cats, 20 chickens, and 15 quail (and counting). In their very limited spare time, you’ll find them working on projects around the house or catching an Alabama Football Game (Roll Tide!). You may also catch them making a quick Tractor Supply or Lowe’s run.

Both Daniel and Evey have a heart for serving others well and seeing God work in the lives of those around them in real time.
